The Communication Designer will play a crucial role in elevating design communication across the organization. This role will partner with design leads to develop compelling presentations, internal communications materials, and contribute to the evolution of design systems. The ideal talent will possess strong graphic design skills, a knack for visual storytelling, and experience crafting presentations for diverse audiences. - This is a fully remote role, working PST hours
- This is part time role of approx 35 hours per week
- 3 months to start with possible extensions beyond that
- Fluency in a variety of design tools, including Figma and Google Slides.
- Excellent visual design and typography.
- Experience with illustration and animation is a plus.
- Deliver sophisticated designs, from concept to execution. They’re able to work within the existing Grammarly brand language and identify opportunities to elevate it.
- Strong verbal and written communicator.
- Embrace an iterative design process and be receptive to feedback.
- Partner with design leads to develop and design presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Create visually compelling materials for internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, and reports.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
- Illustrate concepts and data visualizations to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and incorporate feedback.
- 3-5+ years of experience in graphic design, communication design, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in typography, visual storytelling, and presentation design.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Slides.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Experience with design systems and accessibility standards is a plus.
- Illustration and animation skills are desirable but not required.
