We are seeking a Category Manager supporting Amazon Enterprise. The Category Manager is an integral part of the account team that will assist with the development and implementation of category-first retailer-centric strategies that achieve increased retailer market share and category sales. This person will partner with sales to maximize long-term value creation for the account through proactive mining of national and retailer specific data (Circana, Kantar, Shopper Research, CIQ, ABVP), with the purpose of turning it into actionable recommendations and high-quality business plans. They will also support the development of all Georgia-Pacific brands by creating insights that align retailer strategies with brand positioning. Finally, the Category Manager will lead the preparation and execution of key customer engagements. This role reports to the Director of Category Management – Strategic Growth Channel.
What You Will Do
For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable/bonus pay based on performance

What You Will Do
- Utilize all relevant reporting tools and customize detailed reports as needed to provide the organization with an informed foundation and strong POV to manage the business. Work to become the power user of internal reporting tools to expand best practices.
- Work with sales and data governance to proactively manage 3rd party data integrity
- Enhance Georgia-Pacific’s relationship with the retailer and be viewed as an objective category-first thought leader
- Objectively evaluate category and shopper data from multiple sources to draw insights (shipments, search, syndicated, customer/consumer research, internally published reports, industry articles). Create and present compelling fact-based stories with actionable recommendations that promote overall category growth. Be able to think through multiple-order consequences.
- Build comprehensive knowledge of the products, attributes, strategies, tactics, and consumer trends in the marketplace for all paper categories and key competitors.
- Leverage knowledge of the omnichannel shopper and DSMP strategies to gain alignment with key stakeholders and drive improvements in the category as a thought-leader
- Leverage and coach teams on customer engagement best practices
- Work back with HQ teams by providing data and input to help develop and implement best-in-class strategies for Georgia-Pacific brands within the category
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4 years of CPG or related experience
- 3 years of sales, brand, business analysis, or category management experience
- 3 years of experience leveraging data tools such as Circana (IRI), Nielsen, or shopper card data (creating, updating, and analyzing)
- Customer-facing sales, brand, analytics, or sales-support experience
- Experience in data analysis, forecasting, business analytics, and financial analysis
- Experience with data mining and ability to assess, interpret and translate from multiple data sources into actionable customer/shopper insights and story telling
- Must be willing to travel up to 20%
- Prior Amazon Enterprise or other eComm experience
- Prior paper category experience
- 3rd party vendor data integration (CIQ, Profitero, Stackline) is a plus
- Experience with economic thinking and an ability to develop strategic narratives
