Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the procurement and implementation of a centralized physician information system. The role involves overseeing end-to-end delivery of a platform to streamline recruitment, credentialing, privileging, and contract management, enhancing reporting and workforce planning across healthcare settings. Must have strong stakeholder engagement, healthcare IT experience, and proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for the implementation of a centralized physician information management system, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, risk logs, and resource allocations aligned with strategic workforce and organizational priorities

• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, HR, and IT stakeholders to ensure requirements are met across areas such as recruitment, training, credentialing, privileging, and contract management

• Manage procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation, to secure a solution that meets functionality, scalability, and compliance needs

• Oversee system design, configuration, data migration, integration, testing, and implementation across all relevant user groups and organizational areas

• Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution to maintain project momentum

• Lead change management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and training strategies to support adoption and successful system transition

• Monitor and report on project progress, budget, risks, and deliverables to executive sponsors and governance committees

• Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams, such as credentialing workflows, contract data alignment, reporting configuration, and technical readiness

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare provider and practitioner information management


Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience, preferably leading healthcare IT implementations involving physician or practitioner management systems

• Experience managing projects related to recruitment, credentialing, privileging, training, or contract management within healthcare or regulated environments

• Proven ability to deliver complex, enterprise-scale IT projects involving multiple stakeholder groups including clinical, administrative, HR, and executive teams

• Strong understanding of healthcare workforce management processes, clinical credentialing workflows, and compliance requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing system procurement, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and implementation lifecycle including data migration and integration

• Skilled at leading change management, training, and user adoption initiatives across diverse user communities

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels including senior leadership

• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred


This role requires individuals who have had industry experience in BA lead roles. Further clarification on the skills and abilities required are:

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with individuals, teams, and diverse groups at various levels of the organization in an objective and respectful manner, consistently displaying professionalism, discretion, and patience.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain personal and team effectiveness by adapting and adjusting to changes and difficult situations.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and document business problems and design an approach to solve them using established business process improvement methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to present and facilitate.

• Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to critically think through problems to formulate practical solutions.


Customer Service

• Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and service oriented


Technical knowledge/Skills

• General knowledge of how to gather and translate business and non-functional requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Demonstrated ability to use MS Office products.

• Must be strong at using the entire MS Office Suite and Visio

Change Management

• The ability to effectively manage change across different stakeholder groups
