Role Summary NearSource is looking for a QA Engineer to develop and execute high-quality test plans that ensure an exceptional user experience across desktop platforms. The selected candidate will be part of a collaborative Agile team focused on delivering scalable software for a Fortune 500 product company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate product functionality and performance.
- Isolate, document, and track defects using Jira; collaborate with the Agile team to assess risk and prioritize fixes.
- Design and optimize test strategies with high return on investment.
- Conduct functional (GUI and data), regression, system integration, and smoke tests across release cycles.
- Validate software behavior on Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Champion quality improvements within the Agile team and QA processes.
- 4 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Skilled in root cause analysis of software defects in complex systems
- Basic programming skills for writing and debugging automated tests
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong time management and adaptability
- Familiarity with post-production pipeline workflows.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, Testrail, and Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Python, or another modern programming language.
- Exposure to large-scale software deployment environments.
- College diploma in Computer Science Technology or equivalent experience.
