THE ROLE

Poppi is looking for a highly-organized individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our growing Operations team. The Logistics Specialist role reports to the Director of Distribution and Logistics, and will be responsible for transfers of finished goods and managing carriers. The Logistics Specialist play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and information within a supply chain. The role's expertise in inventory management, transportation, and warehousing helps poppi meet customer demands and stay competitive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage multiple transportation projects concurrently under strict timelines
  • Establish and nurture business ties with both suppliers and clients
  • Use software to monitor the movement of products within the supply chain, ensuring a seamless flow of finished goods
  • Manage transfers of finished goods from production locations to various warehouses and co-packers
  • Maintain data integrity by processing all transfers and related transactions in Netsuite ERP
  • Ensure freight providers are billing accurately and pursue billbacks or credits where needed
  • Ensure accurate transactions in NetSuite leveraging reporting from warehouses, production locations and freight providers
  • Responsible for managing carriers (KPI's, reporting, etc.) to ensure deliveries are on-time, in-full
  • Support inter-facility movement of Raw Material shipments (dry, refrigerated, frozen)
  • Assist in inventory reconciliation, and compilation of all required documentations (Bill of Lading, etc.), while working with internal and external partners to rectify issues or discrepancies related to shipments
  • Develop working knowledge of freight provider and warehouse partner websites
  • Work cross functionally with Supply Chain and Customer Service teams on daily logistics demands
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proficiency in understanding warehouse layouts and mastering warehouse management operations
  • Problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complexities, such as delays, inventory shortages, or transportation hiccups, ensuring that your firm's logistics processes continue without significant setbacks
  • Ability to empathize and actively listen, providing practical solutions to team members, goods suppliers, and end customers, contributes to a positive work environment
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), appointment scheduling platforms, accessorial fees, load planning, as well as key drivers of cost variability within logistics
  • Understanding 3PL warehouse operations and customer receiving requirements
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to plan, communicate, and organize multiple priorities autonomously
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports and daily dashboards

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics management
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Power BI or Tableau, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in warehouse and inventory operations and/ or supply chain preferred
  • Experience in the Food and Beverage industry preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role will experience work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business demands
  • Up to 10% travel
  • Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement

COMPENSATION

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $60,000 - $70,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, minimum wage requirements, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
