Description
The Leasing File Processor is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and processing leasing documentation for residential properties. This role ensures that all lease files are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
Key Responsibilities
The Leasing File Processor is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and processing leasing documentation for residential properties. This role ensures that all lease files are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming lease files for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify tenant documentation such as identification, income verification, and credit/background checks.
- Upload, organize, and maintain digital lease files.
- Coordinate with leasing agents, property managers, and prospective tenants to resolve missing or incorrect documentation.
- Input and update tenant and lease information in property management systems (RESMAN).
- Assist in auditing lease files to ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of tenant information and follow data protection guidelines.
- Generate reports related to leasing activity, file status, and compliance metrics.
- Support administrative tasks related to lease renewals, move-ins, and move-outs as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, or administrative processing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with leasing regulations and fair housing laws is desirable.
