Salary
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $190,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your Responsibilities
The Sales Director, Industrial South reports to our Vice President of Sales – Industrial Division, and will be responsible for providing leadership to the sales groups in our Southeast, Midsouth, South Central, and West Coast sales offices; carrying out development of sales managers & sales representatives with specific focus on account management; developing new business and sales closing techniques; supporting the Vice President of Sales with input on strategy, strategic account management, personnel management, customer analysis; and overall responsibility for an $80MM P&L

The Successful Candidate Will
- Lead the Industrial South team to achieve the company’s growth objectives.
- Build localized strategies for business development, customer retention, and maximizing share of wallet.
- Manage P&L, AR credit issues, CRM, price file, budget, and T&E.
- Demonstrate high level communications skills.
- Effectively communicate across local and global teams to drive forward projects & initiatives.
- Participate in corporate projects & teams that will benefit the overall company.
- Understand team's strengths and weaknesses and adapt approaches accordingly.
- Coach employees for improvement and take the time to teach the employee how to perform the tasks expected of them.
- Identify areas of weakness and suggest corrective action plans.
- Sales Managers and direct reports.
- Approximately 50% within the territory.
- Sales Director will need to reside in the territory and preferably within 45 minutes from a major airport.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business required.
- At least 10 years of B2B sales experience in industrial consumable products required. Experience in the Lubricants or Chemical industries preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years‘ experience in a leadership role.
- CRM experience (Salesforce desired).
- Demonstrated success leading a selling team to budgeted goals.
- Solid understanding of direct selling concepts along with product and industry knowledge.
- Ability foster collaborative relationship across inter-company departments and divisions.
- Ability to travel overnight when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
