Position Description
ParTech, Inc. is seeking Software Engineers to join our Point-of-Sale (POS) integration team. This is a technical contributor role. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development and join a collaborative, high-impact team.
As a Software Engineering II, you will play a key role in implementing new features that are aligned with our product goals. You will collaborate with fellow software engineers and architects within an Agile Framework to develop iteratively; with a keen focus on strong technical implementations rooted for high-volume and highly available systems. You will work within a mission critical platform that integrates with 3rd party POS systems. While developing on this platform, you will also be responsible for maintaining, fixing, debugging, refining and improving our current platform. A rotation-call component is a prerequisite for this role. You will also be required to align your day to work in the Eastern Time Zone.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of software development experience with C# and .NET
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL and writing optimized queries with any relational database
- Experience with Restful APIs is preferred
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and practices of test-driven development is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Excellent debugging skills with hands-on experience finding root cause
- A pragmatic approach to solving problems with off-the-shelf tools
- Self-starter who requires minimal supervision
- Passionate about building next-generation technologies, enjoy fast-paced environments, and loves to code
- Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Familiarity and comfort with agile software development principles and practices
- Previous role in a software support capacity
- Experience in the Restaurant or Retail POS space would be an asset
- You’ll be part of a high-performing team that collaborates to deliver robust backend services and integrations.
- You’ll troubleshoot and enhance performance in production systems, and contribute to high-availability infrastructure in customer environments.
- You will work cross-functionally with infrastructure, product, and operations teams to ship improvements with scale and stability in mind.
