Position Summary:
FlyUSA is seeking a Flight Operations Specialist / Dispatcher to provide critical weekend coverage for our growing flight operations team. This role ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused coordination of flights under Part 135 operations. You'll be responsible for scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring flight activity during weekends, helping maintain continuity and excellence in our flight operations.

Core Responsibilities:
- Weekend Scheduling & Dispatching: Coordinate and dispatch flight crews and aircraft for weekend operations, ensuring FAA Part 135 compliance and optimal efficiency.
- Flight Planning & Monitoring: Use JetInsight, APG, and ForeFlight to plan and monitor weekend trips in real time.
- Communication & Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact on weekends for flight crews, clients, and internal teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Operational Support: Monitor weather, aircraft readiness, crew duty/rest limits, and other factors to anticipate and resolve operational issues.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all weekend operations meet regulatory and company standards.
- Experience: 2+ years in a Part 135 flight operations, dispatch, or scheduling role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in JetInsight, ForeFlight, and APG or similar tools.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a service-first mindset.
- Decision-Making: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under time pressure.
- Legal & Compliance:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Proof of U.S. work eligibility
- Valid passport
- Education: Degree in Aviation Management or a related field; pilot experience is a plus.
- Dispatcher Certification: FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate preferred.
- Scheduling Experience: Familiarity with weekend or after-hours flight coordination and crew logistics.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with other aviation platforms, such as FOS or charter scheduling systems.
