We are seeking an Assistant Program Director to spearhead our cybersecurity initiatives. This leadership role is designed for a strategic leader who possesses a deep understanding of the cyber security industry and is adept at managing advanced technical projects and dispersed teams. - Oversee and manage a team dedicated to technical testing of network and application systems to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure the team possesses a thorough understanding of both network architectures and application frameworks to effectively safeguard systems.
- Guide the team in developing testing protocols and procedures that align with industry best practices.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customer leadership, providing updates on deliverables, program status, and future roadmaps.
- Liaise with the Board of Directors (BOD) to report on security assessments and strategic compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) departments to integrate security measures and strategies across the organization.
- Facilitate team development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in network and application security testing.
- Drive the strategic direction of cybersecurity projects, ensuring alignment with OnDefend's vision and market demands. Lead cross-functional teams across various geographies to deliver on project goals.
- Maintain and enhance technical excellence within the team by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and cybersecurity methodologies. Ensure the technical robustness of BlindSPOT and other cybersecurity initiatives.
- Lead, inspire, and manage dispersed teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance. Ensure effective resource allocation and task distribution to optimize team outputs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing complex projects and teams.
- Strong executive presence with proven ability to navigate complex corporate structures and influence senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and technical acumen in cybersecurity.
- Proven experience in leading technical testing teams for network and application security.
- Expert understanding of cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and reporting to high-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic roadmaps and convey complex security and technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of effective collaboration with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills, with experience dealing with the media.
