Data Analyst

Role Purpose

As a SQL Data and Statistical Analyst focusing on Vendor Information, your main objective will be to support the team engaged in testing autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for analyzing data derived from both real-world environments and simulations, generating insights that substantially contribute to the enhancement of our autonomous driving systems.

This role is pivotal not just in terms of data analysis, but also in fostering cooperation across various departments such as data science, engineering, and operations. Your analytical acumen will aid in identifying patterns, estimating behavior rates, and refining our testing processes through effective data management and reporting techniques.

Core Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize SQL queries to extract and process data from logs related to autonomous vehicle performance, encompassing both real-world and simulation data.
• Utilize your expertise in statistics to estimate rates of various behaviors with accurate confidence intervals derived from sampled events, ensuring the highest standards in conclusion accuracy.
• Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards to showcase rate estimates and simulation outcomes, featuring filtering capabilities that enhance usability for stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, systems engineers, and test engineers to effectively communicate findings and updates on project status.
• Regularly update existing SQL queries for dashboards to align with the latest software releases and maximize the relevance of displayed data.
• Present periodic analysis reports showcasing overall behavioral rates, including insights from specific contributing logs and simulation data.
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate workflows, improving efficiency and accuracy in data handling and reporting processes

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in crafting clear and effective SQL queries, modules, and tests while maintaining high readability and code health standards.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python and/or C++, applied to data analysis or similar tasks.
• A strong foundation in statistical methodologies, particularly focusing on confidence interval calculations and data interpretation.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant data analysis experience in a professional setting.
• Prior exposure to program management, including skills in task tracking and operational coordination.
• Familiarity with program management tools such as JIRA or equivalent software platforms.
• A solid understanding of database structures and data pipeline management techniques.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field, preferably with a focus on data analytics or statistics

Desired Attributes:

• Background knowledge or experience in the automotive and/or trucking industries, enhancing context-specific analysis capabilities.
• Proven track record in implementing and refining operational workflows to bolster data analysis processes.
• An enthusiastic approach towards improving analysis software and the generation of comprehensive reports for enhanced communication.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $75000 to $85000 .
