The Opportunity
Root is looking for a Compliance Analyst with a background in insurance compliance or operations to partner with our fastest growing teams to re-enforce the fundamental value on which our company was founded; fairness. In this role, as part of the Compliance Team, you’ll engage with all key areas of the insurance organization as a compliance partner to ensure that our organization adheres to applicable laws and regulations. We’re searching for a critical thinker who is detail-oriented and eager to help build new processes. The ideal candidate enjoys the pursuit of solving complex problems through the creative ambiguity of a fast-paced technology organization.

Salary Range: $69,600 - $87,000

How You Will Make an Impact:
- Handle the intake of compliance-related complaints, notifying stakeholders, and facilitating the collection of information necessary for thorough and timely responses.
- Plays an integral part in conducting regular audits of processes and products, identifying areas for improvement to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Manages the intake process for associates to bring forward compliance matters for investigation and/or resolution.
- Identify compliance trends through cross analysis of complaints, audit and industry data.
- Provides backup support to the company’s leads for responding to data requests and inquiries.
- May serve as a point of contact for interactions with regulatory agencies for defined matters.
- Draft Monthly,Quarterly, Annual reports and present to business units as needed.
- Act as a resource for the Company for process reviews, product updates, and training.
- Build and maintain processes for the compliance team.
- Maintains and ensures the completion of compliance related training for the Company.
- Monitor and assess new laws and regulations impacting the organization. Communicate findings to relevant departments to ensure awareness and compliance.
- Tracks and provides a risk assessment on compliance issues to help their manager and business units identify matters for prioritization to map compliance fixes.
- Assist with various ad hoc projects and tasks as needed, providing analytical support and insights to enhance compliance efforts.
- Other tasks beyond those listed above are expected to consume approximately 5% of your time.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1+ years of compliance or operations experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of business with experience building engaged professional partnerships.
- Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to applying compliance processes.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively prioritize work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey compliance information to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exemplary integrity and business ethics, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with complaint management systems and internal auditing processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and compliance software.
