Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing and Sales focused on growth to lead our sales and marketing efforts in the SaaS industry. This senior-level role requires a strategic thinker with at least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in senior management roles encompassing both sales and marketing responsibilities. You will be managing the sales and marketing efforts for two long established and strong brands in the industry.
Reporting to the General Manager, this senior position is best suited for an ambitious candidate that can capitalize on the potential of a virtually unlimited market through which the rewards are directly commensurate with results.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Management:
- Develop the strategy and drive an annual marketing plan with the team focused on lead generation through various Inbound and Outbound channels that supports the bookings targets.
- Ensure timely execution of projects and alignment with business goals.
- Champion product marketing initiatives to highlight product features and benefits.
- Manage budget allocation for advertising, sponsorships, and marketing initiatives to maximize ROI.
- Oversee content creation, including an annual industry report, ensuring quality and strategic alignment.
- Provide insightful feedback on marketing content and design to ensure brand consistency.
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales forecasts, operating budgets, and strategic plans.
- Oversee all sales activities, ensuring efficient lead follow-up and pipeline management.
- Coach and mentor sales team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Actively engage in high-value sales opportunities alongside sales representatives.
- Collaborate with customer service to ensure smooth client onboarding and satisfaction.
- Manage sales for two brand products, ensuring both meet or exceed their bookings targets.
- Monitor sales team KPIs and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
Strategy and Budget Management:
- Formulate comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
- Prepare detailed sales and marketing forecasts, managing operating budgets and costs.
- Develop commission structures that incentivize and reward high performance.
- Effectively manage and allocate budgets to optimize sales and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in leading sales and marketing teams in the technology sector with emphasis on high-volume B2B SaaS platforms.
- Data-driven approach to performance tracking and decision making.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive strategy and execution.
- Excellent understanding of sales processes, digital marketing strategies, and budget management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
