We are accepting application for our Product Owner to join the team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to represent vision and customer needs to the team, answering questions and facilitating conversations needed to get the work done.
  • Responsible for providing context for, prioritizing and accepting the work demoed by the agile team, specifically ensuring the right value is delivered.
  • Actively participates in team ceremonies as a proxy for the customer/business.
  • Continuously engages with the business, technology and other key stakeholders to stay informed, nurturing strong and trusting relationships and increasing business knowledge to represent product vision, which includes technical enablers and managing technical debt.
  • Creates, owns and manages the team backlog, constantly collaborating with customers and the team to ensure work items are refined and prioritized.
  • Provides story detail and prioritizes via iteration planning and backlog refinement ceremonies.
  • Collaborates with the team for demos and team retrospectives.
  • Accepts stories based on acceptance criteria and customer intent.
  • Identifies & prioritizes enabler work that could otherwise halt the velocity of the team.
  • Works closely with product management and technology to understand incoming features, program visions, program roadmaps and to help represent these to the team.
  • Exemplifies agile principles, encourages good practices, encourages and assists team in maturing.
  • Helps to identify and raises obstacles and allows the team to self-organize.
  • Understands and promotes the scrum process and values as tools for successful, predictable value delivery.
  • Champions mindset changes and belief re-sets required to affect the desired business results.
  • Encourages transparency to the organization to help grow trust.
  • Helps identify organizational impediments and works with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, mathematics, computer science or a related field
  • 8+ yrs experience contributing to the strategic creation & building out of products, accelerating value delivery to customers, working with cross-functional teams to realize products, employing innovative mindsets & practices to product development (design-thinking, lean startup approach, MVP, rapid prototyping, frequent feedback cycles, customer centricity).
  • Experience as a Product Owner in a large enterprise utilizing scaling practices, building complex solutions using teams of teams, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), contributing to successful value delivery & agile methodology.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of the agile frameworks & scaling models, Agile Values and Principles and the Scrum Methodology including iteration planning, backlog refinement, daily stand ups, iteration reviews and system demos, iteration retrospectives, PI Planning, Demos, Inspect & Adapt Workshops, Scrum-of-Scrums, PO Sync, and ART Sync.
  • Advanced understanding of the broader product development lifecycle in large enterprise settings.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills, including coaching and mentorship qualities.
  • Excellent decision making, problem resolution, listening and team building skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with various levels of leadership.
  • Excellent working knowledge in multiple agile practices: Scrum, XP, Lean, Kanban, XDD, Scrum@Scale, Nexus, SAFe, etc.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to Agile COE customers and stakeholders.
  • Champion of DevOps mindset, building a continuous delivery pipeline, and helping to create the environments in which teams can release on demand.

Pay Range

  • $95,000 - $140,000 (based upon relatable skills, experience and location)
