Technical Recruiter

Solidus is dedicated to delivering top-tier talent solutions to government clients in the defense sector. We are looking for a full-time Technical Recruiter who will bring innovative ideas to support specialized recruiting programs within the competitive defense industry. The right candidate will possess an understanding of technical and scientific roles, modern sourcing strategies, foster strong relationships, and value the importance of diversity in hiring practices.

This position will start as a 1099, full-time position with an opportunity to convert to a full-time, permanent position upon demonstrated success.

This role is fully remote. Candidate must be able to attend job fairs/career events and occasionally travel to the corporate office for meetings located in Lincoln, MA.

Clearance Requirements

• US Citizenship and an the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation
  
  

Day In The Life

• Write job descriptions, engaging emails to candidates, and other correspondence as needed.
• Update resumes to meet client specific requirements.
• Source and screen potential candidates for engineering positions using industry-leading recruiting tools.
• Conduct prospective interviews via phone/video to qualify candidates for open positions.
• Negotiate salaries and support the offer creation process.
• Build relationships with top candidates to create a pipeline of qualified resources for future hiring needs.
  
  

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Business Communications, or Information Technology, or comparable military experience.
• An understanding of technology, including the ability to digest, understand, and discuss technical skill set requirements.
• 2-5 years of experience supporting recruitment or in a Recruiter role.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong phone presence.
• Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• An energetic self-starter with the capacity to work independently and to self-motivate.
• Ability to adapt and learn new desktop applications rapidly.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  
  

Preferred

• Recruiting experience in the defense industry.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and virtual job fair strategies for recruitment.
• Experience sourcing and screening top engineers using industry-leading recruiting tools and social media platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Clearance Jobs, Dice, etc.
