Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia is the organized voice for the brain injury community in Nova Scotia, dedicated to providing support, programs, education, and advocacy for better services. The association has spearheaded various projects and collaborations to improve care and supports for brain injury survivors and their families.


Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Board Member at Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia. Board Members will participate in governance, decision-making, and strategic planning for the association. They will also contribute to fundraising efforts, advocacy initiatives, and program development.


Qualifications

  • Governance, Strategic Planning, and Decision-Making skills
  • Fundraising and Advocacy experience
  • Program Development and Evaluation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Passion for supporting individuals with brain injuries and their families
  • Prior experience on a board or in a leadership position is a plus
  • Knowledge of brain injury care and services is beneficial
