About The Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst II to support our Federal Government customer. The Data Analyst II will utilize methodology and data collection tools to ensure that appropriate data are gathered, supporting projects, and partners.

This is a hybrid remote role that will require some onsite work at our customer's location in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, clean, and maintain databases and analytic datasets from a variety of data systems and other sources relevant to the resilience of healthcare systems.
  • Participate in projects and activities in support of Division strategy for defining, monitoring, and strengthening resilience in healthcare systems.
  • Plan and conduct analyses and create visualizations of data to support presentations, publications, reports, and communications.
  • Prepare reports and maintain data visualizations in accordance with the analytical results, including providing support for the development of manuscripts and other deliverables.

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of three years experience in a data analysis role.
  • Experience in generating, cleaning, and maintaining databases and analytic datasets.
  • Proficiency with SAS, R, Excel, Power BI, and similar software to manage datasets.
  • Exceptional methodological, data management, and analytical skills relevant to public health and healthcare systems.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and created them for presentations, publications, or reports.
  • Knowledge of medical claims databases or other data sources relevant to healthcare systems resilience.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative team environment.
  • Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience providing support for manuscript development and other deliverables.
  • Familiarity with the academic and scientific publication process.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
  • Previous experience with public health federal government agency programs preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field required, Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology or Data Analysis preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
