SharePoint Administrator

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (hybrid)

About The Role

Our client, a not-for-profit entity, is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for an immediate 3+ month contract employment opportunity with potential for full-time employment. As a SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance on all matters related to the client’s SharePoint site. Additionally, you will provide input on the approach, architecture, and design of the client’s SharePoint site, while supporting the client’s work effectively. Along the way, you will get to:

  • Oversee the client’s SharePoint, developing, configuring and maintaining document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
  • Perform typical system administration activities such as site creation, backup, restoration and issue resolution.
  • Manage and revise the layout of the clients' SharePoint site.
  • Customize SharePoint sites to suit both client and individual functions/needs.
  • SharePoint use monitoring: analyze daily user activity on SharePoint, sharing reports and information regarding SharePoint usage.
  • Maintenance and update support: collaborate with the Infrastructure and Platform teams to execute updates and maintain records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma and/or certificate in an IT-related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting SharePoint environments, including SharePoint online.
  • Highly skilled / experienced with delivering SharePoint training and creating user guides / manuals.
  • Proficient using Windows PowerShell and understanding HTML code.
