About the Role:

Reporting to the VP, People, the People Operations Manager will lead and execute our core HR operations. You will play a key part in shaping a positive employee experience, driving process excellence, and fostering a culture that's inclusive, engaged, and compliant. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, off-boarding, HRIS updates, and overall employee lifecycle support.
  • Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and cultural alignment.
  • Partner with finance and payroll to support accurate data flow and timely execution of employment and payroll-related changes (raises, bonuses, leaves, etc.)
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, offering guidance on conflict resolution, performance conversations, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct workplace investigations in a timely, fair, and compliant manner.
  • Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
  • Coordinate and facilitate performance review cycles, support managers with goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
  • Help drive employee engagement through pulse surveys, retention strategies, and wellness or recognition initiatives.
  • Analyze HR data (turnover, engagement, leave trends) and present insights with thoughtful recommendations.
  • Champion process improvements within HR and work cross-functionally with teams like IT, Finance, and Legal.
  • Support or lead people-first initiatives related to wellness, and employee appreciation.

What we want you to bring:

  • 6 to 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or senior generalist capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively both strategically and tactically.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience in a scaling company or fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for building inclusive, engaging, and compliant workplaces.

What we offer in return:

Compensation Range: $135,000 to $150,000 annual base salary

The salary ranges for the roles are posted for your convenience and review. Please understand that if an offer is presented, the offer compensation package will be based on the relevant position related skills a candidate demonstrates during our formal interview process.
