POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Design Lead will spearhead the end-to-end UX/UI and AI integration of Thorne.com. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including key stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and agency partners, to elevate our digital presence and user experience. The Product Design Lead will play a key role in reimagining our e-commerce platform, ensuring that our customers have a seamless, intuitive, and personalized experience.

- Lead the design and user experience strategy for Thorne.com, including all design updates and integration of AI- powered features, in alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, product, marketing) and external agency partners to drive product vision, design execution, and delivery timelines.
- Own the full design process, from user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to final UI designs and specifications.
- Implement innovative and effective AI integration within the user journey to enhance personalization, recommendations, and customer experience.
- Ensure consistency in the visual design language, interactions, and overall UX across Thorne.com and other digital touchpoints.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in design, UX/UI best practices, and AI applications within e-commerce and wellness spaces.
- Maintain a data-driven approach to design, utilizing analytics, user feedback, and testing to iterate and improve user interfaces and experiences.
- Lead design workshops and communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Conduct formal and informal performance assessments of staff, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential, and seek the same for self.
- Actively participate in required training and development programs and electives as suit one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / PROFICIENCIES – Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies are essential duties of the job:
- A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI redesigns and integrations, particularly in e-commerce or consumer-focused products.
- Expertise in AI integrations within digital products (preferably in e-commerce or health/wellness platforms).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools (e.g., InVision, Proto.io).
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, product) to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.
- Experience working with agencies and managing external partnerships.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate design concepts to various stakeholders.
- A deep passion for wellness, health, and improving user experiences in this space.
- A keen eye for detail and aesthetics, paired with a user-centered mindset.
- Develop and deliver on assigned objectives within requested timeframes.
- Work cooperatively with managers in other departments.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and engage others in a positive manner.
