Role Description
This is a remote internship role for an 8 month practicum placement at The Journey Counselling and Psychotherapy - commencing January 2026 or May 2026. The Intern Therapist will be responsible for providing therapy sessions, conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and participating in clinical discussions. This role offers hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Pursuing or completed a Masters degree in Counselling
- Interest in mental health and therapy
- Experience with diverse populations is a plus
Requirements
- Must have- or be obtaining- CRPO RP Qualifying registration
- Must have liability insurance and a clear Vulnerable Sector Police check
- Must be available for a variety of hours daytimes, evenings and weekends
Benefits and Payment
This is an unpaid role. Interns will receive weekly individual or dyadic supervision and group supervision.
