Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Remote Photo Editor to join our Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing, retouching, and optimizing a wide range of photographic assets for our website, social media, marketing materials, internal communications, and more. You will work closely with our content creators, marketing specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure our visual content is consistent, engaging, and aligned with our brand identity. This is a fully remote position requiring a self-motivated, organized, and communicative individual with a strong eye for detail and a deep understanding of photo editing software and techniques.

Responsibilities:

Photo Retouching and Enhancement: Professionally retouch and enhance digital photographs, including adjusting color balance, exposure, contrast, sharpness, and removing blemishes or imperfections.

Image Optimization: Optimize images for various digital platforms (website, social media, email) ensuring appropriate file sizes and formats for optimal loading speeds and visual quality.

Color Correction and Grading: Ensure consistent and accurate color representation across all images, adhering to brand guidelines.

Background Manipulation: Perform background removal, replacement, or extension as needed to meet project requirements.

Composition and Cropping: Adjust image composition and cropping to create visually appealing and impactful visuals.

Asset Management: Organize and maintain a digital asset library, ensuring images are properly tagged, categorized, and easily accessible.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with content creators, marketing specialists, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality edited images in a timely manner.

Adherence to Brand Guidelines: Ensure all edited images align with WeCare Medical Specialty Group's visual brand identity and style guidelines.

Quality Control: Review and proofread all edited images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high visual standards.

Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest photo editing techniques, software updates, and industry best practices.

Adapting to Diverse Content: Edit a variety of photographic content, potentially including staff portraits, facility images, event photography, and stock photos.

Meeting Deadlines: Manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines consistently in a remote environment.

Qualifications:

Work Permit/Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit allowing employment in the United States.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Photo Editor, preferably in a marketing, communications, or digital media environment.

Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Lightroom. Experience with other editing tools is a plus.

Strong Understanding of Photography Principles: Solid understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, and image resolution.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate feedback and collaborate with team members remotely.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Self-Motivation and Discipline: Ability to work independently, stay focused, and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Portfolio: A strong online portfolio showcasing a diverse range of your photo editing skills is required. Please include examples of retouching, color correction, and image optimization.

Remote Work Capabilities: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
