Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Environmental Health and Safety Senior Project Manager to join our team and support the National EHS Practice. The candidate should be local to one of our offices in Dublin, OH, Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL, Richmond, VA, or Anderson, SC.
Join a dynamic team working on a variety of challenging national environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance projects. Assist with environmental and safety air emissions permitting and program development and ongoing EHS compliance needs for industrial, manufacturing, institutional, federal, and municipal clients. We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a diverse set of projects
- Interact and communicate directly with clients on project and proposal development efforts
- Use project management accounting software for project opportunities, budget management, staffing, invoicing, and accounts receivable
- Interact directly with regulatory agencies
- Lead and mentor mid- and junior-level staff
- Conduct client training
- Contribute to business development activities as well as client development and proposal writing
- Assist with evaluating EHS regulatory compliance of facilities and conducting audits
- Perform regulatory applicability evaluations
- Interpret and apply EHS regulations for multiple industry types
- Oversee on-site support for client operations in industrial and educational campus settings, including monitoring programs associated with environmental regulatory compliance, OSHA, and other applicable site-specific safety plan compliance
- Develop, implement, promote, and improve EHS programs and plans for clients
- Develop and review of local, state, and federal EHS client reporting
- Training presentation development and delivery
- Travel up to 15% to client sites
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of EHS consulting experience
- 5+ years of project management, including client development and management experience
- Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations (Stormwater, Wastewater, Air, EPCRA, RCRA, etc.)
- Experience developing EHS written programs (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, OSHA, etc.)
- Proficient with EHS reporting (e.g., Tier II, TRI/Tura, NESHAP, air source registration/air emission statements, stormwater discharge, hazardous waste, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office suite and environmental reporting software
- Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites when required
