About The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of key business initiatives—particularly those with a strong financial focus. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and oversee projects from conception to completion. You'll be hands-on in your approach, ensuring timelines, resources, and communication are managed effectively while helping projects meet business goals, stay on budget, and align with strategic objectives.

This is an ideal role for a project manager with a solid background in financial project implementation, change management, and experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. We’re especially interested in candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being actively involved in execution, not just oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement strategic projects, with a focus on financial systems and business transformation.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication materials.
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation with a business-first mindset.
  • Facilitate team meetings and coordinate across business functions to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting on progress and outcomes.
  • Lead or support change management efforts to drive adoption and sustainability of project outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle, not just guidance or delegation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, particularly those involving finance or corporate development/M&A.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, business operations, and cross-functional project impacts.
  • Experience in leading or supporting change management initiatives.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or Prosci certification is an asset.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent initiatives under tight timelines.
  • Hands-on project execution style; not just oversight but a doer mentality.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic and evolving business environments.

As a valued member of the SNDL team, you will enjoy:

  • Competitive total compensation and incentives.
  • A top-notch extended benefits package including medical, extended health, and a healthcare spending account.
  • An entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learning.
