Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Modeler proficient in OpenBuildings by Bentley to join our team! In this role you will get to work on large infrastructural projects across the US.

What You'll Be Doing

Utilizes a CAD workstation to create multidiscipline BIM models and engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

Works closely with other BIM Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.

Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.

Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. Reads and understands orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.

Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor.

May assist in training lower-level BIM Designer/Drafters in various procedures. Checks drawings prepared by lower-level Designer/Drafters for accuracy and adequacy.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

Bentley BIM Modeler Accreditation or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course specializing in Bentley products.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working on projects utilizing OpenBuildings/AECOsim Building Designer by Bentley under the supervision of a Structural Project Engineer.

Must be able to read and understand other discipline drawings and coordinate structural model with the rest of the trades.

Must be able to work independently and be able to handle work related stress when needed.

Autodesk Revit knowledge is a plus but not necessary.

Salary Range: $33.89 - $70.10
