This is a 12 month contract position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week or working entirely remotely.

Position Summary

Our Analytics team is an important part of our business strategy. We’re looking for a data-driven and strategic Senior Analyst to join our Reporting & Analytics team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting high-impact, cross-functional initiatives by uncovering insights through advanced data modeling and delivering compelling reporting that informs decision-making across the business.

The ideal candidate has a knack for seeing solutions in data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for Vena. You will be responsible for data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for the company to follow. You will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will enable business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional projects leveraging advanced data modeling techniques (using SQL and Snowflake) to surface insights that drive strategic decision-making and identify optimization opportunities across key business domains: Sales, Marketing, Customer Adoption & Health, and Customer Success.
  • Analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate results from analytical initiatives to key stakeholders across Vena, providing actionable recommendations grounded in data.
  • Own and manage executive-level reporting in Power BI to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of high-impact dashboards and reports.
  • Develop the next generation of operational reporting that empowers the organization to shift from lagging indicators to leading, predictive metrics.
  • Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve data quality and integrity issues to ensure confidence and reliability in all reporting outputs.
  • Create compelling, user-centric data visualizations in Power BI that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with data engineering and business systems teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure scalable access to accurate, real-time data within Snowflake.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting processes, automate recurring analysis, and improve overall efficiency across teams.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to business leaders, providing insights and guidance on performance trends, customer behaviors, and market opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reporting processes, metric definitions, and data sources to support data governance and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Does this sound like you?

  • 5+ years experience in a position designing, managing and drawing insights from data. SaaS industry experience is preferred
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Power BI and other data visualization tools
  • Experience working with application hosted in public cloud platform such as AWS, Snowflake, as well as data mining and statistical software
  • Understand agile methodology and have a proven track record of on-time project delivery following agile development methods and applying best practices
  • Ability to clearly formulate/articulate findings to stakeholders and senior management
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously
  • Customer service minded and strong client interaction skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Interest in AI and willingness to explore AI-driven solutions to enhance performance and drive efficiencies
