Scrum Master

Job Description

The Scrum Master is a key individual in apiphani's growing delivery organization. This individual is responsible for leading and overseeing scum-based development efforts. This role is client facing and works directly with clients as part of their day-to-day activities.

This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering primarily ServiceNow development on time, within scope, and within budget. The Scrum Master will work closely with ServiceNow developers to ensure alignment, mitigate risks, and resolve issues. This is an opportunity for a team lead with a strong background in ServiceNow Scrum delivery. The Scrum Master also manages other related projects that are delivered using Agile Scrum methodology.

Job Duties

  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder meetings, and user story writing sessions to capture business needs and priorities.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint backlog items.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Serve as a scrum master for agile development teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor project progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, including user stories, sprint backlogs, release plans, and sprint charts.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and gather feedback from stakeholders to validate functionality.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on agile methodologies, scrum practices, and ServiceNow platform.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of priorities.
  • Provide quarterly reports on progress and assist with facilitating ServiceNow roadmap.
  • Drive continual improvement in operations through optimization and automation.

Required Skills

  • Experience as a Scrum Master in ServiceNow enhancement projects.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow modules.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience serving as a scrum master.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience conducting workshops, user interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, such as user stories, sprint backlogs, and release plans.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow reporting and analytics capabilities.
  • First Level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) and/or SAFe Practitioner certification.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented with ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong ownership bias.

Nice to have

  • Experience in technology Consulting, Professional, or Managed Services.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing in ServiceNow.

Base Salary

$40,000—$50,000 USD
