Project Coordinator - Linguistic Data Creation

About The Position

Jeenie is looking for a sharp, organized, people-smart Project Coordinator to help us build linguistic data that powers inclusive communication. In this role, you’ll help manage day-to-day tasks on projects that collect, organize, and process conversational data from diverse communities around the globe.

You don’t need to be an expert in linguistics—we’ll teach you what you need to know. But you do need to be a strong communicator, super detail-oriented, and ready to keep things running smoothly.

Jeenie’s growing fast, and that means big opportunities. As our Project Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in shaping our Data Services Department from the ground up. You won’t just be keeping projects on track—you’ll be teaming up with talented linguists and helping Jeenie disrupt the traditional language services space.

About Success In The Position

Some of the main initiatives you’ll be part of:

  • Coordinate schedules, tasks, and communications for a team of linguists
  • Track progress and make sure everyone’s on-task and on time
  • Keep files and data super organized (we love a good Google Sheet!)
  • Quality-Check deliverables
  • Work directly with Jeenie’s Executive Leadership Team and report on progress weekly
  • Troubleshoot issues and keep things moving when obstacles pop up

About You

Here’s what we believe our best applicants bring with them into the role:

  • We value all paths to knowledge—whether through school, trade programs, apprenticeships, or hands-on experience. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not a must.
  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or similar roles required
  • Passionate about helping people and bringing language access to those in need
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable switching between platforms and juggling multiple tasks
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership, including learning from mistakes
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a distributed team
  • Not afraid of new challenges
  • Proactive about finding creative and practical solutions
  • Confident using tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.), spreadsheets, and project management platforms like Asana
  • Secure and stable internet connection
