Role Description
We are seeking a creative and mission-driven Graphic Designer to help craft compelling visual assets that support Ineffable Films’ outreach, education, and promotional efforts. This flexible, remote-friendly volunteer position is ideal for someone who wants to use their design skills to drive cultural change, support emerging filmmakers, and visually amplify the narratives we help bring to life.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with our team to macerate (reshape and reimagine) existing materials and design new ones for digital, print, and social media use.
Key Responsibilities
- Visual Design: Create clear, engaging visual materials, including one-pagers, slide decks, social media graphics, flyers, posters, pitch decks, and presentation templates.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs align with Ineffable Films’ evolving visual identity and mission.
- Material Redesign: Macerate and modernize existing outreach and educational materials to increase engagement and usability.
- Collaborative Input: Work with program leads, interns, and filmmakers to visually translate complex ideas and stories into simple, powerful designs.
- Digital Assets: Prepare graphics optimized for web, email, and social platforms, including short animations or motion graphics if capable.
- Event Support: Design visual assets for workshops, screenings, and film festivals, including signage, merch mockups, and event branding.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years in graphic design, either professionally or through strong portfolio work.
- Tools: Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva. Bonus: Familiarity with Figma, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Design Sensibility: A strong eye for typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Communication: Ability to take creative feedback and translate verbal concepts into strong visuals.
- Passion for Mission: Deep interest in storytelling, global cultures, youth empowerment, or the arts.
- Bonus: Experience in nonprofit, educational, or multicultural design projects.
