Position Overview:

StrataBuilt is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Entry Clerk to join our customer service team. As an Order Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for processing customer orders, ensuring accuracy, and providing support throughout the order fulfillment process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth operations and delivering a seamless experience to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Accurately enter customer orders into the system, ensuring all details are correct and complete.
  • Customer Inquiries: Act as the first point of contact for clients needing assistance with order statuses, shipping updates, and product availability.
  • Order Tracking: Monitor and update the status of orders in the system, coordinating with other departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of customer orders, including changes, cancellations, or returns, ensuring all information is properly logged.
  • Issue Resolution: Address any issues or discrepancies related to orders, working closely with the warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to resolve them quickly and efficiently.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to customers throughout the ordering process, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all customer interactions are documented thoroughly in the CRM system for future reference and follow-up.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (sales, inventory, and shipping) to ensure all customer orders are processed and fulfilled correctly and on time.
  • Reporting: Assist with generating reports on order trends, customer feedback, and order status for the Customer Service Manager and leadership team.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or related coursework is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in order entry, customer service, or administrative support is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Experience with order entry systems or CRM platforms is preferred (knowledge of [specific software] is a plus).
