What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a Security Analyst who will help defend SurveyMonkey’s products against misuse. You will become a subject matter expert in our product abuse trends and use this knowledge to advocate for solutions and predict outcomes with new feature development.
The Security Analyst will play an important role in identifying and categorizing new trends and communicating findings to cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Monitor fraud-related alerts, assess root cause and risk, report key performance metrics, and make data-driven recommendations
- Stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging fraud and abuse trends, investigating new abuse vectors, and recommending effective solutions
- Take ownership of content review workflows and optimization, including overseeing updates to internal tools
- Collaborate with machine learning and data science teams to identify opportunities to improve models or predictions
- Partner on policy updates, evolve policy execution and participate in wider policy implementation and maintenance across privacy and security teams
- Participate in threat modeling sessions to identify potential abuse-related concerns before product launches
- Manage incident response as needed on a rotational, on-call basis
We’d love to hear from people with
- 2-4 years of Trust & Safety or fraud-related experience working in SaaS or a related industry
- Familiarity with platform abuse-related issues and mitigations
- Strong orientation toward problem-solving and decision-making in an open and collaborative environment that will benefit the organization as a whole
- Ability to evaluate abusive content and take action without close supervision
- Ability to respond to occasional event escalations during non-business hours
SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
