We are looking for a Director of M&A Corporate Development. A proven numerate leader who can both source and scale Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) prospects from lead to offers stage. You’ll manage a high-performing business development team of up to fifteen professionals, while driving acquisition pipelines across multiple vertical markets. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for a true Player-Coach, working with senior leadership.

What You’ll Do
- Manage, mentor, and scale a team of Corporate Business Development Professionals.
- Source, build and nurture, relationships with software company decision-makers.
- Drive M&A opportunities from origination to offer, and handoff to our M&A team.
- Maintain your own patch of prospective Sellers
- Optimize our CRM and sourcing operations (Salesforce-driven).
- Deepen relationships with our current network of acquisition prospects.
- Represent Harris’ investment philosophy
- Some travel required (up to 10-25%)
- 3+ years in M&A sourcing, corporate development, technology sales, banking, or investing experience
- Leadership: You’ve built and managed winning teams.
- Relentless relationship skills — you know how to open doors and keep them open.
- Business acumen: You get financials, growth levers, and what makes a software company valuable.
- Hustle: You move fast, prioritize smart, and own your outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or startup experience is a plus.
