We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to the overall success of our accounting operations. We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to the overall success of our accounting operations. What You’ll Do:
- Participate in monthly close activities, including preparing journal entries and conducting general ledger analysis.
- Shadow and progressively take ownership of assigned month-end close responsibilities.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure financial data integrity.
- Assist in reviewing and validating commission calculations in partnership with Sales Operations and HR.
- Track and manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
- Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable, processing vendor invoices and payments when needed.
- Manage credit card spend by entering related invoices and maintaining the credit card platform.
- Accurate and timely financial reports that contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Reliable reconciliations and detailed analysis that help ensure the integrity of our financial records.
- Seamless support for internal teams, including Sales Ops and HR, to ensure accurate commission and asset tracking.
- Continuous improvement to processes and procedures, identifying efficiencies and opportunities for automation or enhancement.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Have 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within IT or professional services.
- Possess a strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Are highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.
- Communicate effectively and enjoy working cross-functionally.
- Have experience working independently in a remote work setting and can manage time effectively.
- Experience with NetSuite (strongly preferred), QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
