Senior Technical Recruiter (6-Month Contract)
VRIFY
ContractAbout the Role
VRIFY is leading the global shift toward AI-assisted mineral discovery — putting the power of advanced AI directly in the hands of geoscientists. Following a $12.5M Series B raise and 475% YoY growth in our AI product, we’re scaling quickly — and building a world-class team is critical to that growth.
We’re hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter on a 6-month contract to lead and execute our in-house hiring efforts across Engineering, AI, Product, and Marketing. This role is all about driving results — sourcing, engaging, and closing top-tier talent that will help fuel our next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on role. There’s no “Head of Talent” yet — so you’ll be the tip of the spear. You’ll work directly with our executive team, own the talent acquisition process end-to-end, and lay the foundation for what could evolve into a larger function.
If you’re a recruiter who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys rolling up your sleeves, and wants to help build something meaningful without the layers of process and politics, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Execution
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and go-to-market roles across Engineering, AI, Product, and Marketing
- Source, engage, and close high-calibre candidates globally, with a focus on Canada and Australia
- Build proactive pipelines of top-tier talent for current and future roles
- Partner directly with hiring managers and executives to deeply understand role requirements and hiring profiles
- Deliver exceptional candidate experiences at every touchpoint
- Manage ATS (BambooHR or similar), ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and hiring process consistency
- Provide regular updates on hiring progress, pipeline health, and key recruiting metrics
Talent Operations & Process Building
- Develop role scorecards, structured interview processes, and offer templates
- Own job postings, sourcing strategies, and candidate messaging — every touchpoint reflects the VRIFY brand
- Recommend tools, technology, and best practices to optimize hiring workflows
- Partner with Marketing to evolve VRIFY’s employer brand presence over time
Market Insights & Talent Advisory
- Provide hiring managers with market intelligence, compensation benchmarks, and sourcing strategies
- Stay current on talent trends, especially in AI and SaaS
- Provide regular insight into candidate feedback, market challenges, and hiring performance
Qualifications
Experience
- 5-8+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with a focus on technical and GTM roles at scaling tech companies
- Proven ability to own searches end-to-end: sourcing to offer
- Experience hiring in high-growth environments where speed, creativity, and hustle matter
- Bonus points for experience hiring in AI, SaaS, or resource/industrial tech sectors
- Experience recruiting in Canadian and Australian talent markets
Skills
- You’re a creative sourcer, proactive networker, and a closer
- Exceptional communication skills — clear, concise, candidate-friendly
- Strong process orientation and operational rigor
- Hands-on experience with ATS platforms (BambooHR, Rippling, Lever, or similar)
- Data-driven mindset — you track your work and use data to optimize
- Highly collaborative, adaptable, and energized by a fast-paced environment
- Passion for candidate experience and building authentic relationships
What We Offer
- Annualized compensation of $130,000–$150,000 CAD
- Remote-first work environment (Canada-based) with preference for Metro Vancouver candidates
- Opportunity to grow with the company — high performers will be considered for permanent roles post-contract
- An opportunity to own talent acquisition at a scaling AI technology company
- Clear growth potential into future leadership roles as the team expands
Terms of Employment
- 6-month full-time contract (with potential for extension or permanent hire)
- Completion of a background check required
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
