We seek a Technical Project Manager to support technology implementation projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, meet client expectations, and achieve strategic objectives. The Senior Project Manager will be working directly with a leading global sports brand committed to the most innovative sports equipment in the industry. The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for leading IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational strategy. This role requires expertise in managing global, cross-functional project teams, facilitating requirement gathering, and executing projects using the client’s EPMO Smartsheet toolkit—including Charter, RACI, RAID, and Project Plans. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster collaboration by eliciting and integrating diverse perspectives, leveraging institutional knowledge and external insights.
- Serve as a Servant Leader within the EPMO and project teams.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Drive project momentum by managing team activities and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Lead meetings with business owners, IT, Digital, leadership, and external vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Oversee project implementation in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Facilitate and lead requirements gathering sessions with functional users, IT Business Solutions, and Digital teams.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRD) to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Maintain an end-to-end perspective of project scope and objectives.
- Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure compliance with approved BRD.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario development, script creation, and session facilitation.
- Assist business owners in developing comprehensive Project Charters.
- Develop and manage high-level project timelines, milestones, and RACI matrices.
- Create, maintain, and track progress against project plans.
- Manage RAID logs (Requirements, Actions, Issues, Decisions) to ensure project transparency.
- Oversee post-implementation issue tracking and resolution.
- Define timelines, dependencies, and milestones, ensuring clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
- Proactively monitor project status, address blockers, and drive resolution.
- Coordinate implementation efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in an IT environment.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in Order-to-Cash processes within consumer goods, manufacturing, sporting goods, or apparel industries.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, data capabilities, and enterprise IT environments.
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Xebrio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Background in athletics, particularly in hockey or lacrosse, with an understanding of the industry, consumer needs, and market trends.
- Experience working with brands, teams, or organizations in the athletic and sporting goods sectors.
- Knowledge of sports technology, digital engagement strategies, or e-commerce within the athletic industry.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain challenges specific to sporting goods and apparel distribution.
