As part of the National Operations team, the Director, Specialty Market Operations will be responsible for managing and overseeing London claims operations for Canada. This role is integral to our operations, helping drive efficient, compliant, and customer focused claims processes across all lines of business we handle. The Director will lead and implement best practices in claims processing, ensuring that our teams meet service level agreements and regulatory requirements while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role is also client facing as required and encompasses responsibility to ensure that Claimspro remains competitive and well positioned in the marketplace.

The Director will lead and implement best practices in claims processing, ensuring that our teams meet service level agreements and regulatory requirements while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role is also client facing as required and encompasses responsibility to ensure that Claimspro remains competitive and well positioned in the marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
Claims Operational Management:
- Manage end to end claims operations for the London Open Market, Managing General Agent loss adjusting, Specialty lines and any binging authority business, creation of efficient workflow to ensure timely handling and reporting to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy and compliance with regulatory bodies and standards.
- Monitor claims lifecycle processes, from First Notice of Loss to settlement to optimize workflow.
- Participation and collaboration with underwriters, cover holders, MGA’s, adjusters and external partners to ensure effective claims management.
- Act as the main point of contact for all lines of business for escalation resolution.
- Review and analyze claims data and trends for accuracy.
- Generate operational and financial reports that provide insight on claims performance and strategy.
- Oversee audit and quality assurance initiatives to monitor compliance and service level agreements.
- Develop and achieve annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans
- Responsible for key account management, and expansion of organic growth opportunities
- Accountability for all sales initiatives relating to the service of the region, including overall strategic direction, price, and process improvement of accounts
- Drive retention objectives through the continued maintenance and monitoring of existing Client business strategies and business plans.
- Partner with IT and SRD business teams that assist with streamlining workflow through automation to maintain and lead industry pace.
- Lead internally on regulatory changes, industry developments and best practices to ensure our people remain compliant and competitive.
- CIP, CRM beneficial
- Strong understanding of Lloyds of London, MGA’s and Specialty Lines claims handling
- Proven experience in claims data analysis, reporting and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Strong client facing presentation skills, solutions and service orientation
- Ability to work in face paced environment with competing priorities.
