Job Summary

Sr Business Analyst – Payment Processing & Renewals to optimize our recurring payment operations and ensure seamless policy renewals within the insurance industry. This role is vital in ensuring policyholders' payments are processed efficiently, reducing payment failures, and improving retention rates.

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze the end-to-end recurring payment lifecycle, identifying payment failure trends, renewal bottlenecks, and policyholder payment behaviors. You will work closely with finance, IT, and marketing teams to enhance automated billing systems, payment success rates, and proactive renewal strategies. Your expertise will help improve payment reliability, minimize churn due to failed transactions, and create a better payment experience for policyholders.

Key Areas Of Focus Will Include

  • Payment Processing Analysis
    • Analyze and optimize payment processing workflows, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to improve payment reconciliation and reporting.
    • Identify and mitigate payment-related risks, including fraud prevention.
  • Collections and Renewals
    • Develop and refine collections and renewal strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce churn.
    • Support automation initiatives to enhance collections processes.
    • Drive results to meet organizational goals
    • Analyze customer payment trends and recommend action plans for overdue accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Generate reports on payment performance and collections efficiency.
    • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders based on data analysis.
    • Support financial forecasting and budgeting.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance
    • Identify inefficiencies in payment and collections processes and recommend improvements.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • Assist in audits and financial reviews related to payment and collections operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis, payment processing, or collections.
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways, ACH, credit card processing, and digital wallets.
  • Experience with collections strategies, accounts receivable, and financial risk management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.

The ideal candidate has experience with subscription-based billing, automated payment processing, and retention strategies, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector
