Focus AI is transforming engineering productivity through intelligent automation. Our AI-native platform serves a dual purpose: empowering engineers to focus on high-impact work by automating routine tasks, while providing managers with actionable insights to drive strategic alignment and team success.
Led by proven leaders from top-tier institutions (Harvard, Stanford) and industry giants (Microsoft, Salesforce, Palantir), we're building sophisticated tools that eliminate unnecessary meetings, streamline workflows, and deliver smart task prioritization. Our platform reduces time-to-execution, enhances visibility across engineering operations, and ensures daily activities align with strategic objectives.
We're seeking a Data Security Advisor—an experienced security expert—to provide strategic guidance and advisory support in creating robust security architectures that enable partnerships with large enterprises, banks, and healthcare providers. This role is flexible and part-time (a few hours per week).

What You'll Do:
Risk Assessment: Provide expertise in identifying and mitigating security risks, establishing proactive measures to ensure robust protection and compliance.
Mentorship and Coaching: Support technical leadership by providing mentorship on best practices in cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance requirements.
Strategic Recommendations: Regularly collaborate with founders and technical leaders to address strategic security challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.
You Bring:
Compliance Knowledge: Strong familiarity with relevant standards and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Advisory Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide high-level strategic advice, mentorship, and effective communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Flexible Availability: Ability to engage in a flexible, part-time advisory role, dedicating a few hours per week.
