You will be working with a large global product engineering team, supporting a complex mix of software, clients and delivery outcomes and ensuring a highly reliable, automated product engineering & operational capability exists.

This role will enable you to contribute to, support and deliver the strategic vision set for support and reliability engineering with a strong focus on enabling speed, scale and quality. You will provide a global alignment of infrastructure, delivery and platform technology across Iress, working closely with engineering teams to reduce cycle times for build and deployment. Working collaboratively will be second nature to you as you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate positively and confidently at all times with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Some of the amazing things you’ll be involved in:

  • Testing and installing new systems and providing on-site service to clients as required, in line with our guidelines and industry standards.
  • Conducting regular maintenance tests and checks to ensure all backup systems function correctly. Take appropriate action in line with our guidelines.
  • Providing 24-hour emergency on-call cover (including weekends and public holidays).
  • Carrying out essential maintenance and equipment installations as required (including at weekends and public holidays when required).
  • Liaising with vendors to report and escalate faults.
  • Responding to internal and external enquiries within the SLA and in line with our guidelines and industry standards.
  • Configuring, installing and documenting network-related equipment.
  • Monitoring our network for alarms and outages, and taking appropriate action in line with IRESS guidelines.
  • Undertaking any other tasks or projects as delegated by the Team Lead and/or Head of IT Operations.
  • Increasing your knowledge and skills associated with the installation, maintenance and monitoring of the IRESS network.

What You Will Bring

You will ideally possess a working knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools as well as having hands on experience in at least one programming language (such as Java, Nodejs, Golang or C#). Any scripting skills in Bash and/or Python would also be extremely ideal.
