What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and project management. This role will report to the Chief of Staff / Head of Strategic Initiatives and will support our team remotely to ensure that our HR practices are efficient and aligned with our business objectives.

What You Will Do

Recruitment & Onboarding:

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring
• Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process
  
  

Benefits Administration

• Oversee benefits administration through Zenefits by Trinet, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
• Act as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries
  
  

Employee Relations

Address employee concerns and issues, providing guidance and support as needed

Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain and update employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  
  

Payroll

• Assist with payroll processing through Zenefits by Trinet, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  
  

HR Policies & Procedures

• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures
• Conduct training sessions on company policies, procedures, and best practices
  
  

Performance Management

• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans
• Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues
  
  

Project Management

• Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality standards and assessing risks
• Report project outcomes and / or risks to management and escalate issues as necessary
  
  

What You Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position
• Proficiency with HR systems, particularly Zenefits by Trinet
• Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
• Experience managing multiple projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
