Board Governance Advisor (Remote)
12 – 18 months Temporary Opportunity
Our health sector client is seeking an experienced Board Governance Advisor to provide leadership in governance, operations, and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, bylaws, and Board policies for the Board of Directors and related committees. You will lead the continuous improvement of Board processes, ensuring they are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with best practices.
You will be tasked with overseeing Board operations, including systematizing meeting processes, developing agendas, and ensuring action tracking for key resolutions.
Additionally, you will manage stakeholder engagement strategies and work with internal and external parties to maintain transparent communication and ensure governance best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Experience in corporate governance, compliance, and risk management with demonstrated expertise in Board operations and executive-level governance advisory.
- Experience supporting senior-level Boards, including policy development, regulatory compliance, and corporate-level planning.
- Experience in a highly regulated healthcare environment, with a deep understanding of governance in complex, publicly accountable organizations.
- Strong business strategy, corporate planning, and reporting experience in government or regulated environments.
This role is fully remote, with the exception of in-person participation in Board Meetings.
