Position Overview

As a Payroll Specialist at FINSYNC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the payroll process, from data entry to resolving payroll-related inquiries. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for assigned clients

Collect, verify, and input payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments

Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees

Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and processes

Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations

Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll services with other FINSYNC offerings

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for payroll processes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment

Strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations

Proficiency in payroll software and systems

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Strong problem-solving abilities

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
