The Accounting Analyst is mainly responsible for cost analysis and internal reporting for The Retirement Advantage, Inc. This position reports to and works under the direction of the Accounting Manager.

The Accounting Analyst is mainly responsible for cost analysis and internal reporting for The Retirement Advantage, Inc. This position reports to and works under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly sales trends and sales expenditure reports.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Compile and review monthly controllable expense reports.
- Reconcile credit card and ACH payment transactions.
- Generate reports and data extracts for quarterly profitability analysis.
- Serve as a backup for various tasks performed by other finance team members.
- Prepare standard monthly financial analyses as required.
- Support Accounts Receivable deposit processing.
- Reconcile monthly distribution receipts.
- Support month-end closing processes and other general ledger accounting functions as needed.
- Outstanding TRA Corporate Citizen dedicated to maintaining TRAs reputation at all times in the communities we touch
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Ambitious, Excel-savvy recent college graduates encouraged to apply
- 1-2 years financial analysis experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Understanding of databases and extracting data to use in analyses
- Accurate compilations of data with ability to judge appropriate degree of complexity or detail required based on objectives specified by manager
- Ability to draw useful insights and conclusions from analysis of data
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects
- Professional work ethic with a high level of initiative and self-motivation
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with other departments to compile data and achieve objectives
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts in general
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Aptitude to learn new software applications
- Candidate must demonstrate high professionalism and ethical standards; this position processes sensitive and confidential information
