This is a flexible position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week or working entirely remotely.

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to various business units. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial reports, developing budgets, and forecasting operational and financial performance. The individual will work closely with management to provide insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Serve as a key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze data and convey stories concisely
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Learn and leverage key financial models in Vena; maintain and improve established models and find areas for improvement and automation
  • Facilitate budget and forecasting process for key stakeholders; provide stakeholders with data and insights to make the best decisions
  • Other duties, as assigned

Does this sound like you?

  • 3+ years’ experience working in Finance
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and works effectively cross-functionally in a team environment
  • Proficient in excel and financial modeling, able uncover important business insights
  • Experience working in various systems with knowledge of SaaS business. Wants to experiment and has demonstrated success using AI in day-to-day tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Sound planning, forecasting, financial modeling and technical skills; able to drive operational excellence
  • Self-starter; can execute with limited direction. Enjoys experimenting and is quick to learn from mistakes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of SaaS business
  • Experience using CPM or FP&A software

Educational Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation
