Full timeThe National Account Executive (NAE) Fountain Foodservice (FFS) position is a critical role for KDP leading the sales for our business in multiple national FFS accounts based in DFW and surrounding areas. It includes full portfolio selling for dispensed beverages; bottle/can beverages to support off premise FFS sales; and warehouse products such as mixers, specialty beverages and Mott’s apple sauce.
The NAE contributes to KDP's volume, profit and share growth by developing, selling and executing plans for our portfolio of brands and will report to the Director of National Accounts.
The role demands a highly driven, results-oriented, organized person with strong customer relationship skills.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of sales success and developing sales strategy, be able to multi-task in a demanding environment and provide high level collaboration with multiple stakeholders and business functions at national restaurant chains or convenience retail. The ideal candidate will show high levels of personal initiative, a demonstrated ability to own their results and create solutions for both KDP and our customers. Negotiating multi-year contracts at a high level and strong financial acumen is critical to drive mutually beneficial results.
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be based within the Dallas/Fort Worth area where most assigned national chain customer headquarters are located. This role has access to KDP HQ in Frisco, TX. Candidates based in TX who have easy access to a major airport will also be considered.
Travel as needed for sales & marketing meetings, tradeshows and/or customer shows and meetings with external partners; up to 30% (or as needed to deliver opportunities and objectives)
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, collaborative planning and solutions for assigned FFS National Chains and key franchise groups. Achieve annual volume and profit objectives. Track progress and actively find on-going solutions to meet KDP objectives.
- Develop and implement customer sales strategies and account plans for accomplishing mutually beneficial volume objectives, promotional plans and value creation. Includes joint business planning as well as on-going activities throughout the year to support that plan.
- Negotiate multi-year contracts with national chain customers that deliver mutually beneficial results and expand KDP beverage portfolio to meet the needs of our customers and consumers. Model financial scenarios to provide return on investment for both KDP and the customer.
- Penetrate and develop business relationships both horizontally and vertically within assigned national chains. Includes c-suite, senior level management, supply chain, marketing, culinary as well as other key decision makers or franchisees that are stakeholders for our joint business.
- Manage annual marketing reinvestment budgets for national chain customers and NAE Travel & Entertainment budget within standard. Accurately forecast/adjust annual volume and rebate payments for national chain customers staying within contractual budgets.
- Partner with KDP Customer Marketing resources to develop and execute activities that support mutually developed and agreed upon annual business plans; deliver customer value. Resources include insights, digital commerce, engagement, category management and innovation.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills are required including communication and collaboration with multiple cross functional teams within KDP: Customer Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Trade Accounting, Master Data, Customer Service, FFS Leadership, etc.
- Create and maintain accurate account records including but not limited to Salesforce.com database.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or a related field.
- Prefer at least 5 years of progressive foodservice beverage sales experience with a national beverage CPG company.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in selling and managing large regional and/or national chain accounts within a packaged goods company or within the foodservice / beverage industry.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly communicate and deliver presentations
- Passionate with a collaborative, strategic growth-mindset
