Aftermarket supplies a broad portfolio of products and services in original equipment quality to the trade and automotive workshops worldwide. In addition to standard spares, such as engine parts, filters, turbochargers, and mechatronics components, Aftermarket is increasingly offering products for thermal management, vehicle diagnostics, exhaust gas analyzers, and service equipment for maintaining HVAC systems and automatic transmissions.


Your Contribution


The Sales Account Manager - Canadian Region will utilize professional selling techniques and product knowledge to market MAHLE products to Key Warehouse Distributors and other customer sales channels that include EPS; Performance and other direct customers contained in the assigned territory. This position is expected to effectively manage all aspects of his/her customer base to develop additional new business, while establishing effective, long-term relationships.

  • Utilizes knowledge of all customer sales channels with a particular emphasis on Traditional Warehouse Distributor players and the competitive requirements to maximize sales volume with existing and prospective customer base while ensuring profitability.
  • Leads business planning and strategy determination for MAHLE Aftermarket to effectively address sales growth within the assigned territory, including the identification of new product offerings.
  • Incorporates time management skills to maximize sales effectiveness and to minimize travel costs.
  • Performs market research on various products & competitors; keeps abreast of market developments.
  • Makes recommendations on sales promotions, evaluates their success or failure, and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Interacts with key cross-functional areas such as Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain to address customer needs while ensuring consistency and profitability.
  • Provides training on MAHLE product technology as needed for current and prospective accounts.
  • Assists in developing marketing tools and customer specific sales programs.


Your Experience & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in automotive aftermarket sales
  • Knowledge of gaskets, engine parts, filters, and turbocharger applications
  • Experience and understanding of the aftermarket distribution channels (Warehouse Distributor, Engine Parts Specialist)
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to identify and sell win-win scenarios
  • Up to 50% travel is required
