Senior Technical Writer

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will contribute to the Revvity Signals documentation team. You will plan documentation strategies, create technical content, and produce professional guides and online help. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a geographically distributed team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop a wide range of software-related information products, including guides, tutorials, web-based help systems, and specifications.
  • Create clear, concise, and user-oriented documentation.
  • Research, write, proofread, edit, and potentially translate end-user manuals and online help.
  • Design screenshots and illustrations using graphic tools.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of documentation templates and contribute to the development of team tools.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating documentation for software or technical products, tailored to different audiences (e.g., end users, system administrators, IT managers).
  • Familiarity with content management and authoring tools, such as MadCap Flare.
  • Understanding of XML, HTML, and standard documentation formats.
  • Ability to create clear, high-quality visuals using tools like Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, UX, QA, product managers).
  • Understanding of usability and user experience (UX) principles in documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
