Purpose
Our Specialty Team is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and customer engagement in the GTA East Territory. Reporting to the Senior Director Specialty, the BDM will become an integral part of the Specialty Team, responsible for managing existing Physician accounts while driving new business.

Job Responsibilities
As part of the Specialty Team, the candidate will be managing existing Physician accounts, though the primary focus will be on prospecting new business.
- Build and execute your territory management plan to meet and exceed sales targets, leveraging Sales Force to optimize customer and prospect tracking.
- Prospect new business in Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, GI, Neurology, and other key Specialty areas.
- Explore new opportunities in the market and discuss program / service development options with key internal stakeholders
- Lead the preparation of proposals and business cases in collaboration with operations, finance, pharmacy, and other internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with clinic teams and the Royal Drugs team, design streamlined processes to manage and administer patients’ specialty medications and drive clinic efficiencies.
- Secure and retain business through professional, consultative sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers.
- Positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships (internal and external) with your key accounts, proactively address any concerns and identify opportunities for growth.
- Analyze monthly reports for key accounts and identify key insights to enable proper decision making.
- Provide regular reports on sales progress and activities with existing accounts and business development opportunities.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with resource requirements for new business opportunities.
- Ensure internal processes, quality standards, and S0Ps are followed.
- Develop solid and trusting relationships with new and existing key customers at the executive, operational, and clinic levels.
- Liaise between the pharmacy team and various internal/external stakeholders to ensure customer excellence.
Qualifications
- University / College degree
- Minimum of five years’ demonstrated sales experience, preferably in the healthcare Specialty industry
- Experience in Ophthalmology, Neurology, Immunology, Rheumatology, or Oncology preferred
- Demonstrated experience in Key Account Management
- Travel required through Ontario
