In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Serving as a key member of the Reconciliations team, which is tasked with reconciling various internal and external accounts and resolving discrepancies through coordination with different teams.
  • Collaborating directly with dedicated Operations associates to ensure the accuracy of our books of record.
  • Assuming responsibility for critical trade and position reconciliations, escalating to various upstream teams such as settlements, corporate actions, trade desk, securities lending, and others as necessary to resolve discrepancies and mitigate risk.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on the settlement and clearance of equities through CDS and DTC.
  • Troubleshooting, managing, and proactively resolving reconciliation differences.
  • Utilizing data to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
  • Developing processes to enhance the efficiency of our back-office operations.

We're Looking For People Who

  • Have 2+ years experience working at a broker-dealer handling back office reconciliation responsibilities for options, securities operations and securities lending programs (IIROC-regulated dealer is preferred).
  • Are passionate about technology, specifically fintech.
  • Are organized with a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working with a large set of data with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Have awesome people skills and a positive attitude. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Possess strong Excel/google sheets skills
  • Are naturally curious: if something seems off, you want to figure out what’s going on.
  • Have completed or are pursuing industry courses (CSC, DFOL etc)
  • Have experience or familiarity with programming a plus (especially SQL, AppScripts).
