Responsibilities:

• Drive team-level outcomes and lead high-impact initiatives, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Independently lead and contribute to key business goals, demonstrating a strong understanding of how team efforts connect to broader company objectives.
• Influence and collaborate across multiple teams and cross-functional stakeholders, extending beyond direct organizational boundaries.
• Take ownership of large-scale, complex projects, working closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
• Remove obstacles and provide strategic guidance to enable team success while fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
• Lead projects with ambiguous requirements, define clear milestones, manage execution, and ensure on-time delivery with high quality.
• Drive platform capabilities, taking end-to-end responsibility for engineering best practices, solutions, quality, deployment, and support.
• Champion continuous improvement in engineering practices, ensuring high-quality standards and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Lead technical discussions across the organization, driving decision-making and ensuring business-driven outcomes.
• Take ownership of incident response and resolution, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive improvements across teams.
• Act as a Product Owner when required, balancing architectural roadmaps, product management priorities, and service improvements.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture and creating growth opportunities for team members.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in software design, development, and cloud-based systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading the successful delivery of a commercial cloud product.
• Expertise in incident response management, including root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical discussions and present complex ideas effectively.
• Deep understanding of business drivers and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a business context.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and inspire technical talent within the organization.
• Excellent hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, and software development tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong experience in API development (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages like Go or TypeScript is a plus.
• Deep expertise in object-oriented design patterns and scalable software architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
